Besides for fund-raising purpose, we were actually motivated by the challenge of a 50km hike along the whole Hong Kong Trail within the official time limit of 18 hours. Edward, Gordon, James & Ricky, making up a team called SUPERMAN, finished the journey in 12 hours 8 mins while four ladies, Fion, Elaine, Elizabeth & Noel from team FEEN finished it 1 minute less than the Superman. Thomas, striving to beat his personal record, finished in 8 hours 53 mins --- a super-superman indeed. Thank God that we are all in one piece after such tough journey.

 

The journey was really tough. We walked with aching legs on slippery paths covered with loose stones and gravel. Muscles cramped, relieved by the "Deep Cool" but cramped again. Our stinky tees soaked in sweat and rain, vision got blurred by the drizzles, fatigue increased with the growing darkness but there was still 10km to go. Yet the whole thing was brightened up by the team spirit, the cheers, the care and encouragement from friends & colleagues. These, together with many many other things happened along the journey, have become one of the most unforgettable memories of ours. At times, the beautiful scenery along the route still popped up in our minds.
